How it works

Real chess rules, with the people of the Book of Mormon on the board.

📜Record Keeper stories

Every capture opens the stories of both characters, what happened to them, an "And thus we see" lesson and a Liken the Scriptures question. Turn stories off any time for regular chess.

📱Family Play on phones

Start a game and everyone scans the QR code. Play 1 vs 1, or split into Blue and Red teams. Each turn, the game picks a teammate at random to move.

♟️Pick your pieces

Choose who plays king, queen, bishops, knights and rooks from 80 characters, or deal them at random. Switch between realistic and brick art.

Family night in 3 steps

  1. Open this page on a TV or laptop. Choose Family Play, then Teams, then Create game.
  2. Everyone scans the code on their phone and picks Blue or Red. No accounts needed.
  3. Play and read. When a piece is captured, read the story together and talk about the Liken question.
