🌿 Holy Week, day by day
Read one day at a time as a family.
Jesus rides into Jerusalem on a donkey. Crowds spread clothes and branches in the road and shout praises to Him.
Matthew 21:8–9 →Jesus drives out those buying and selling in the temple and teaches that His house should be a house of prayer.
Mark 11:15–17 →Jesus answers hard questions, praises a poor widow’s offering and teaches His disciples about the signs of His Second Coming.
Mark 12:41–44 →The Gospels say little about this day. Two days before the Passover, the chief priests seek a way to take Jesus, and Judas Iscariot goes to them to betray Him.
Mark 14:1–11 →Jesus washes His disciples’ feet, gives them the sacrament, prays in Gethsemane and is arrested.
Luke 22:19–20 →Jesus is tried before Caiaphas, Pilate and Herod. He is crucified at Golgotha, says “It is finished,” and is laid in a new tomb.
John 19:16–30 →Guards seal the tomb. Peter later taught that the Savior went and preached to the spirits in prison (see also Doctrine and Covenants 138).
1 Peter 3:18–19 →Women come to the tomb and find it empty. Angels declare that He is risen, and the risen Lord appears to Mary Magdalene and others.
Luke 24:5–6 →Teach

Because Jesus rose, we will all rise again. Who is someone you look forward to seeing again?
Let everyone answer, youngest first.
He is risen
Hide a paper that says “He is risen” in an empty box. The youngest finds it and reads or shows it. Everyone shares their favorite Easter story.
Matthew 28:5–7 →“He is not here: for he is risen.”
Matthew 28:6. How does knowing Jesus Christ rose again change how you see hard things, or people you have lost?
