What you’ll find here
Most of Weak Things is free. No ads, no logins, no subscriptions.
The name comes from a promise.
God doesn’t promise that we won’t have weaknesses. He promises that He can change them.
Weak Things isn’t about strong people. It’s about people who are becoming strong, one small, ordinary step at a time.
Start where you are. Then take the next step.
“I give unto men weakness that they may be humble; and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me; … then will I make weak things become strong unto them.”

The story
I will go and do.
I’m Mike Merrell. I learned on my mission in the Honduras Comayagüela Mission, in 2000, that weak really can become strong. Nephi’s words stuck with me:
“I will go and do the things which the Lord hath commanded.”
1 Nephi 3:7
It doesn’t say “when I feel ready.” It just says go.
I started Weak Things to give teachers, families and individuals new ways to learn the stories of the gospel of Jesus Christ. In my Church callings I’ve watched members consecrate their time and talents week after week, like the seminary teachers who are ready to teach at 6:30 in the morning. Weak Things is built for people like them.
So I build quick games that help a lesson stick, content that inspires, and shirts that let people represent their faith and their missions. It started with my own family: a verse puzzle, a seminary game, a way to see every conference talk on a single verse. People used them, so I kept building.
Most of what you’ll find here is free, and it’s meant to stay that way.
The shirts keep the tools free.
Weak Things is a small family business. I own it, and my wife and children support it: testing the games, catching the typos and putting up with a lot of late nights. There are no ads, no subscriptions and no logins. When you buy a shirt or order for your group, you’re paying for the next reader, game or teaching resource.
If the tools have helped you, sharing them with a friend or a seminary class helps just as much.
Careful with the sources.
Scripture text is the public-domain King James Version and the public-domain Book of Mormon text.
Conference talks are linked, never copied. Every card sends you to the talk on the Church’s site.
Every source is named, and other traditions’ scholarship is labeled separately from Latter-day Saint teaching.
Counts are real counts. When a page says 28 talks use a verse, you can open all 28.
Weak Things is independent and is not affiliated with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
