Come, Follow Me 2028 · Book of Mormon

Book of Mormon lessons, in the making

We are building extra story lessons to go alongside the Church's Come, Follow Me 2028 manual. They are not a replacement. They are extra ways to teach the principles and doctrine in each week's reading.

Lessons begin with the Church's schedule on January 3, 2028. Nothing here is final yet, and your feedback shapes what we build.

What these lessons are

Extra help for the week you are already studying

Goes with the manual

Each lesson matches a week in Come, Follow Me—For Home and Church: Book of Mormon 2028, so it fits the reading you are already doing.

Extra, not instead

The scriptures and the manual come first. These lessons add more ways to teach the same principles and doctrine at home, in Primary or in class.

Story, lesson, then modern prophets

Each lesson teaches the story, draws out the lesson in it, then shows what living prophets and apostles have taught about living it today.

Lehi's Dream: Scripture Story Sketch Notes

Goes with January 17–23, 2028: “Come and Partake of the Fruit” (1 Nephi 6–10) · Open the manual lesson

Walk the dream from the dark and dreary waste to the tree of life in hand-drawn sketch notes with narration. This pilot shows the shape every lesson will follow:

  1. Teach the storyA map tour of nine landmarks and four moments, told in the words of 1 Nephi 8.
  2. Find the lesson in the storyDecode the symbols the angel explained and meet the four kinds of travelers.
  3. Learn from modern prophetsWhat it means to hold to the rod, from general conference, with daily habits to try.

Tried it with your family or class? Tell us what worked. It helps us shape the rest of the year.

One story, three ways to teach it

Made for every age in the room

We are planning three versions of each story, so a family or ward can study the same week together at different depths.

Our goal: lessons open week by week alongside the Church's Come, Follow Me schedule.

Questions

Is this an official Church resource?

No. Weak Things is an independent project. These lessons are study helps made to go alongside the Church's Come, Follow Me 2028 manual, not part of it.

Do these replace Come, Follow Me?

No. Read the scriptures and the manual first. Use these lessons when you want another way to teach a story or principle: a map tour, a game, narration or a printable page.

Will the lessons be free?

The Lehi's Dream pilot and its PDF are free. We are still deciding how the full year will be offered. Free options will always be listed first, and any price will be shown before you click.

When will they be ready?

We are aiming to have lessons ready as the 2028 schedule begins on January 3, 2028, and we will share more pilots before then. Sign up and we will tell you when each one is ready.

Which version should my family use?

Brick for younger children, sketch notes for older children and youth, and the adult study for parents, teachers and personal study. Each version tells the same story, so a family can study together at different depths.

Can I suggest a story or give feedback?

Yes, please. Send us a note with the story you would like to see, or what worked (or didn't) when you tried the pilot.

Weak Things lessons are independent study helps. They are not an official publication of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and do not replace the Come, Follow Me manual, the scriptures or the guidance of your leaders.
