Faith in Adversity
Elder Rafael E. Pino
Of the Seventy
Living the gospel does not spare us adversity, but temple covenants and faith in Christ give peace and strength to endure it.
“we do not mourn as those without hope”
“there is no tragedy in death, but only in sin”
“The Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away”
“Peace I leave with you”
“we will be prepared to face and endure adversity more confidently”
Scriptures
John 14:27; Job 1:21; John 11:25; 3 Nephi 14:24–27; Philippians 4:7
