Listen to the Prophets
President Spencer W. Kimball
President of the Church
People reject prophets for poor excuses—obscurity, familiarity, worldly cares; we should heed living prophets, chosen from among the people.
“Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth?”
“the prophets are always somebody's son or somebody's neighbor”
“from Palmyra to Paris, not the reverse”
“Just because something is in our midst”
Scriptures
John 1:46; Matt. 13:55; Luke 18:22; D&C 1:30
