The Promises of God in Our Trials
President Henry B. Eyring
First Counselor in the First Presidency
God does not remove our trials, but He keeps His promise to succor us, often through faithful disciples who reach out to others.
“fear not, I am with thee”
“Mother, why is life so hard?”
“Life is a test.”
“the promise is not for the removal of challenges”
“He knows you perfectly. He knows your heart.”
“it is usually through another person that He meets our needs”
“Even your simple attention was a comfort.”
Scriptures
Isaiah 41:10; Isaiah 53:4; Mosiah 18:8–9; Abraham 3:25
