Come, Follow Me 2027 New Testament: Every Free Game, Story and Lesson Resource in One Place

Come, Follow Me 2027 New Testament resources from Weak Things over a painting of the Bethlehem stable

On December 28, Latter-day Saints around the world begin a full year in the New Testament. The Church's Come, Follow Me—For Home and Church: New Testament 2027 manual is the 2027 resource for youth and adult Sunday School and Primary, and for scripture study at home (Church Newsroom). Weak Things has spent the year building free companions for it: games, illustrated stories, doctrine sketch notes and a scroll-through life of Christ called Follow Him.

This guide gathers all of it in one place, organized the way you will use it: by the week.

Your New Testament year at a glance

The year moves from the birth of Christ through His ministry, His last week, His Resurrection, the Acts of the Apostles and the letters, and ends at Christmas. Easter week falls on March 22–28.

Timeline of the 2027 Come, Follow Me New Testament year from the birth of Christ to Revelation

Start here: one page for every week

Our Come, Follow Me 2027 hub has a page for each of the 52 weeks, from December 28–January 3 to December 20–26. The current week is highlighted automatically. Pick it once, and every game, story and lesson idea for that reading is waiting on one page, with previous and next buttons to plan ahead.

Each Come, Follow Me 2027 week page has Play, Read and Teach sections
  • Play: Family Showdown, Seminary Showdown, Doctrinal Mastery practice and quick games, all set to that week's chapters.
  • Read: links to the chapters and the official lesson, plus the illustrated stories and tap-to-reveal quizzes for that reading.
  • Teach: discussion questions, a family activity, one-tap classroom tools and printable lesson sheets.

Follow Him: the life of Jesus Christ, one scroll at a time

Follow Him walks through 69 moments in the life of Jesus Christ, in order from the angel in the temple to the Mount of Olives, told through the eyes of the witnesses who were there. Painted scenes change as you scroll, a line of light grows with each event, and every moment quotes the King James Version with a link to the verses. Many open a narrated, illustrated story you can watch together.

He Is Risen
Told through the eyes of Mary Magdalene

The seven chapters follow the Church's Harmony of the Gospels:

  1. The Promised Birth, told through the eyes of Mary
  2. The Growing Boy, told through the eyes of Joseph
  3. The Ministry Begins, told through the eyes of John the Baptist
  4. By the Sea of Galilee, told through the eyes of Peter
  5. Teacher on the Road, told through the eyes of Mary of Bethany
  6. The Last Week, told through the eyes of John the Beloved
  7. He Is Risen, told through the eyes of Mary Magdalene

Follow Him works beautifully for the first weeks of January, for Easter week and for Christmas week, and as a review any Sunday. The Savior is shown reverently: from behind, at a distance or as light.

Families

Open the week's page on Sunday and choose one thing from each door: a game for Monday night, a story at bedtime and a question at dinner. Start the year by scrolling through Follow Him chapter 1 together.

Primary

The narrated picture stories and coloring sheets are ready-made for children. The 2027 manual also adds new fast-Sunday lessons for Primary at the back of the book (Church News), and our doctrine sketch notes on topics like Prayer and The Sacrament make simple visual helps for those Sundays.

Youth and adult Sunday School

Print the doctrine set linked to the week, open with a picture from Follow Him, and close with a quick round of a game on a phone. Conference sketch notes on the week's page bring in a modern witness.

Seminary

Seminary Showdown handles review, Line upon Line handles memorization, and the doctrine sketch notes cover Doctrinal Mastery. Our guide to the 24 New Testament Doctrinal Mastery passages and the Seminary Showdown teacher's guide will help you plan.
