Doctrine and Covenants 116 Adam-ondi-Ahman

On April 12, 1838, Joseph Smith’s journal records a revelation about Spring Hill, Missouri. The Lord gave the place the name Adam-ondi-Ahman and connected it with Adam’s future visit to his people. The verse also points to Daniel’s vision of the Ancient of Days. In one short passage, a Missouri place is linked with a biblical prophecy and a future gathering.

How these connections are counted

Sources. Scripture text is the public-domain English text of the Doctrine and Covenants (sections 1–138). Section summaries, headings and questions are Weak Things’ own; the Church’s copyrighted headings and footnotes are not used. Joseph Smith Papers links point to the exact manuscript and printed pages. Connections come from the scripture links in every general conference talk from April 2000 through October 2026.

Distinct talks, not mentions. Each talk counts once per verse. Badges show whether the talk cites this exact verse or a passage that includes it, and whether the link is in a footnote or the talk text. Frequency is not a measure of doctrinal importance.

Your own words, their link. Summaries are Weak Things’ own. Talk text, Joseph Smith Papers images and transcriptions are not reproduced; every card links to the original. This independent study tool does not speak for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
