Doctrine and Covenants 76 That he lives!

On February 16, 1832, in the upstairs room of John and Elsa Johnson’s home in Hiram, Ohio, Joseph Smith and Sidney Rigdon were revising the Gospel of John. John 5:29 speaks of a resurrection of the just and of the unjust, and they wondered what that meant for heaven. While they pondered, they saw together a series of visions: the Son at the right hand of God, the fall of Lucifer, and three kingdoms of glory prepared for nearly all of God’s children. Early Saints simply called it “the Vision.”
