Hurlbut’s Life of Christ for Young and Old
From Hurlbut’s Life of Christ for Young and Old by Jesse Lyman Hurlbut (Philadelphia: John C. Winston, 1915), with paintings by William Hole and other artists. An older Christian book written for families to read aloud, not a Latter-day Saint source. Public domain; free to read and print.

This free book tells the whole life of Jesus Christ, from the angel at the golden altar to the Ascension, in 103 short chapters for children and families. Jesse Lyman Hurlbut wrote it in 1915 to be read aloud, and it includes paintings by William Hole, along with maps and photographs of the Holy Land. Most chapters take 5 to 10 minutes to read aloud. Page numbers from the 1915 edition are marked in the text, so you can cite or find a page.
