Altarpieces

He painted altarpieces of the Resurrection for the cathedral of Marienwerder and for the Immanuelkirche in Berlin, which was consecrated in 1893. The Berlin altarpiece shows the risen Christ above the words “Ich bin die Auferstehung und das Leben”: I am the resurrection, and the life.
