Hymn of the Obedient: “All Is Well”

Elder David B. Haight
Of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles

Elder Haight tells how William Clayton wrote 'Come, Come, Ye Saints' on the Iowa trail, a hymn of the obedient that gave pioneers hope.

“I might be envied by a king.”
“Come, come, ye Saints, no toil nor labor fear.”
“It gave them hope and encouragement.”
“So if we die, we've done our best.”
“All is well!”
