Sketch note of Repentance by Elder Neal A. Maxwell

October 1991 · Saturday Afternoon

Repentance

Elder Neal A. Maxwell
Of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles

Elder Maxwell described repentance as a rescuing doctrine: recognition, remorse, confession, forsaking and restitution, turning fully to God.

“Repentance is a rescuing, not a dour doctrine.”
“there is more individuality in those who are more holy”
“Sin, on the other hand, brings sameness”
“Unlike us, God has no restrictive office hours.”
“we need never mistake local cloud cover for general darkness”
