Ether 12:27 “Made Strong” Women’s T-Shirt — Faith, Courage & Strength Through Christ

The scriptures are filled with women who demonstrate this kind of strength.

Eve is one of the first examples. Faced with an unfamiliar and fallen world, she chose to move forward in faith, becoming the “mother of all living” and embracing God’s plan for His children (Moses 4; 5:11). Her story reminds us that leaving the comfortable and stepping into the unknown can require tremendous faith.

Sarah waited years for the fulfillment of God's promise concerning her family. Her story is one of patience, faith, and trust in a promise that seemed impossible from a human perspective (Hebrews 11:11).

Rebekah demonstrated remarkable faith when she was willing to leave her family and homeland to marry Isaac. Her willingness to go forward into an uncertain future helped establish the covenant family of Israel (Genesis 24).

Ruth showed extraordinary loyalty and courage when she chose to remain with Naomi rather than return to the security of her own family and people. Her faithfulness eventually placed her in the lineage of Jesus Christ (Ruth 1–4).

Hannah brought the deepest desires of her heart to the Lord in prayer. Her experience demonstrates the power of persistent faith and humble reliance upon God (1 Samuel 1–2).

Esther found the courage to act when the lives of her people were at stake. She stepped into danger rather than remain silent, famously asking whether she had come “for such a time as this” (Esther 4:14). Her story is a reminder that spiritual strength often means doing the right thing when doing so requires courage.

Mary, the mother of Jesus, demonstrated extraordinary faith when she accepted a divine calling she could not fully understand. Her response—“Behold the handmaid of the Lord”—revealed humility, trust, and willingness to follow God's will (Luke 1:38).

Mary and Martha both loved the Savior deeply, yet their stories show different expressions of discipleship. Martha served; Mary sat at the feet of Jesus and listened. Both teach us something about loving Christ and learning from Him (Luke 10:38–42; John 11–12).

The woman who touched the Savior's garment acted in faith despite years of suffering. Jesus recognized her faith and called her “daughter” (Mark 5:25–34). Her story beautifully illustrates that coming unto Christ—even when we feel broken, exhausted, or weak—is an act of strength.

The Book of Mormon gives us powerful examples too. Sariah endured the uncertainty and hardship of leaving Jerusalem with her family. Abish courageously acted on her faith and helped bring others to the knowledge of God (Alma 19). And the mothers of the stripling warriors taught their sons to trust God so deeply that their faith became a source of extraordinary courage (Alma 56:47–48).

That's the Weak Things message:

Your weakness is not the end of your story.

You can be courageous like Esther. Faithful like Ruth. Persistent like Hannah. Trusting like Mary. Steadfast like Sariah. Bold like Abish.

And through the grace of Jesus Christ, you can become stronger than you ever could have been on your own.
