“Check Your Testimony” is a playful, faith-centered design that reimagines a familiar album-cover aesthetic to celebrate three remarkable witnesses of the Restoration: Martin Harris, Oliver Cowdery, and David Whitmer. Beneath the vintage-inspired artwork, their names remind us that behind the history of the Book of Mormon were real people who sacrificed, served, witnessed, and testified.

Martin Harris played a crucial role in bringing the Book of Mormon to publication. He supported Joseph Smith financially, famously traveling to New York to have portions of the manuscript examined by scholars. He later became one of the Three Witnesses, declaring that he saw the plates and the angel and heard the voice of God command them to testify. His willingness to sacrifice for the work helped make publication possible.

Oliver Cowdery served as Joseph Smith’s principal scribe during much of the translation of the Book of Mormon. His handwriting filled the original manuscript as the translation progressed. Oliver was also one of the Three Witnesses and testified of seeing the plates and the angel. His participation extended beyond the Book of Mormon as he became an important early leader in the Restoration and participated in the restoration of priesthood authority.

David Whitmer provided a place where Joseph Smith could continue the translation after leaving Harmony, Pennsylvania. At the Whitmer home in Fayette, New York, much of the Book of Mormon translation was completed. Like Harris and Cowdery, David became one of the Three Witnesses. He testified that he saw the plates, the angel, and the voice of God commanding them to bear witness.

Together, Harris, Cowdery, and Whitmer stand as three powerful witnesses to the coming forth of the Book of Mormon. Their stories remind us that testimony is more than knowing a story—it is choosing to witness, remember, and remain true to what we have received. That is the heart of “Check Your Testimony.”
