The Beatitudes | Scripture Story Sketch Notes | Printable PDF

A hand-drawn, doodle-style study of the Beatitudes, built around the Savior’s promise: “Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God” (Matthew 5:8).

Follow a numbered map up the mountainside through eight blessings, then look closer at the details. Context and two Greek words help, while the focus stays on the Savior.

What's Inside

• Cover with a numbered map and a contents list
• The story, plainly: four scenes, “Look to Him” notes, the hard King James words explained, and a draw-and-write page
• Look closer: nine cards on the mountain, the teacher’s seat, empty hands, comfort, hunger, a pure heart, peacemakers, salt and the candle
• Where are you on the mountainside? Feeling empty, grieving, hungry for more, or caught in conflict, with check-ins
• A need and a promise: match each Beatitude to its blessing, with space for your own
• Their world, their words: the hills above Galilee, what “beatitude” means, pleasure and happiness, and the Greek words for “blessed” and “meek”
• Look to Him: what prophets have taught, with the Savior’s sermon in 3 Nephi 12
• Seek Him today: the Savior’s promise, a seven-day tracker, talk-about questions and verses to hold
• Go deeper: summaries and links for adult and deeper study
• Sources: every quotation and gloss cited with links (scripture first, then Church sources, then labeled outside sources)
